Think you have what it takes to win a crawfish-eating contest? Are you ready to go head-to-head with some of the best mudbug eaters in Northwest Florida? Well loosen your belt and get ready to be crowned champion!
The entry fee of $10 must be paid to participate and all the entry proceeds will be donated to AHERO USA. AHERO is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting Veterans through outdoor activities as a means to recover from their physical wounds and psychological trauma to reintegrate into American life.
You must register in person at Bamboo Willie's and the contestants will be selected on a first-come, first serve basis.
Contest Schedule
Round 1: Sunday, March 26 at 4:00 PM
Round 2: Sunday, April 4 at 2:00 PM
Round 3: Sunday, April 16 at 4:00 PM
Championship Round: Saturday, April 22 at noon.
Please Read: All participants must be 21 years or older who are in good health. Any person with a health problem may not compete in the contest. All competitors acknowledge that Bamboo Willie’s and the Festival staff are not liable or responsible for any health risk.
1) The Crawfish Eating Contest is a race to eat 3 LBS of crawfish the fastest. Contestants that claim they have finished will raise their hand, contestants will then stop eating and all trays will be weighed the judges will compare all trays before the winner is announced.
The fastest top three of the preliminary rounds will advance to the Finals held during the Crawfish Festival on Saturday, April 22nd, at Noon. Cat Country will be hosting the finals.
The final nine contestants competing in the Championship Round will race to eat 5 LBS of crawfish the fastest.
2) Contestants need to be at Bamboo Willie’s one hour before each round begins.
3) All contestants names and images may be used by Bamboo Willie’s, Cat Country, Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visit Pensacola for promotional purposes.
The winner of the Championship gets bragging rights for the year, a trophy to take home and put on your mantle, and a swag bag of goodies.
To enter the contest, you must register in personat Bamboo Willie's and pay the $10 entry fee.
Each round will be limited to 15 contestants and participants will be entered on a first come, first serve basis.
